Boston Red Sox fans who have logged on to Jetbluepark.com have gotten an unwelcomed surprise. And they a local Chicago Cubs fan to thank for it.

Eric Engleman bought the domain name that you might expect would take you to a page about the Boston Red Sox or the new JetBlue Park.

Instead, they are redirected to the website of the New York Yankees.

He says he’s not really a fan of either team and that his actions are all just part of sports rivalries.

“I’m a Cubs fan. I like the National League. I just thought it was funny to paint it towards the Yankees. There’s no reason why other than I just thought it was really funny,” he said.

Engleman says he bought the rights to the site for about $8 in March of last year and made the switch as a joke.

He says he plans to keep the site just as it is.

But, he says, he will work with the Red Sox or the stadium if they request a change.
